Getting here
It is highly recommended to rent a car at the airport. Quinta do Pinheiro is somewhat secluded, making it difficult to get there and around without a car.
Directions to Quinta do Pinheiro
We are here.
Upon leaving the airport, follow the signs directing you towards Olhão. These signs will guide you to the N125. Stay on the N125, passing through Olhão, towards Tavira. Continue along the N125 and make a right turn when you see the sign for Torre de Aires, approximately 20 minutes later. This will lead you onto the M1343. Once you’ve crossed the railway line, you’ll soon spot a small cluster of white houses on your left. Take the country road on your right. After approximately 200 meters, you’ll find the entrance to Quinta do Pinheiro on your right-hand side.
Grocery shopping
For your everyday essentials, take a quick 5-minute drive to the mini-supermarket in Luz de Tavira. It’s perfect for picking up water, beer, rice, pasta, bread or any other basics you might need. You’ll spot it tucked behind the central square.
If you’re in need of a larger selection, head towards Tavira on the N125. At the second roundabout, you’ll encounter Pingo Doce, a spacious supermarket, or head to Continente, the largest supermarket situated within the shopping center of Tavira.
For the freshest fish, make your way to the stunning market in Olhão. Arriving early is advisable to secure parking.
Seeking gourmet delights? Apolónia in Almancil is your destination. Though it’s a 35-minute drive, their offer of delicious products and wines makes it worth the trip, despite the higher prices.
