Watercolor painting with Siegfried Woldhek
+ yin yoga with Katja Pronk

MARCH 21st – March 26th 2025

Dutch artist Siegfried Woldhek is known for the numerous portraits he paints and draws for renowned media outlets. Woldhek has a passion for watercolor. “When you understand what water wants and can do, watercolor becomes a wonderfully malleable medium. Paper and brush give you all sorts of gifts.” Learn watercolor painting in the breathtaking surroundings of Quinta do Pinheiro. Additionally, experienced yoga instructor Katja Pronk will lead daily yin yoga classes, designed not only to awaken your energy but also to ignite inspiration and relax your mind.

About Siegfried Woldhek

After studying biology Siegfried Woldhek worked for the Dutch Bird Protection organization, first as a biologist and later as director (1985-1990). From 1990 to 1998, he was the director of World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Netherlands and until 2002, the director of the Action Network of the international WWF.

Siegfried is known for the numerous psychological portraits he has drawn since 1976 for Dutch publications such as Vrij Nederland (literary portraits) and NRC (political cartoons, athletes), as well as the New York Review of Books. His work has often been exhibited and published in various collections. The Metropolitan Museum in New York has included a portrait by him in their collection. In 2011 he received the Inktspotprijs for the best political cartoon of 2011.

About Katja Pronk

Katja Pronk has been practicing yoga for over 15 years, including more than eight years as a teacher, following the completion of her four-year training as a yoga instructor. Katja has specialized in yin yoga, a gentle form of yoga that focuses on achieving a more flexible body without exerting force.
