At Regina Coeli, however, you’ll make significant progress in a short amount of time under the guidance of native-speaking instructors. The method has evolved from the approach of the sisters who founded the language institute: the nuns of Vught. They already knew that the most effective way to learn a language is through a highly personalized program in a pleasant environment. The quinta is the perfect serene and inspiring setting to immerse yourself in the Portuguese language.
About Regina Coeli
Language Institute Regina Coeli in Vught, in the Netherlands, is the leading institute when it comes to learning a foreign language in a short period of time. Regina Coeli is often referred to as ‘the Nuns of Vught’. This name is due to the nuns who founded the language institute in 1963. Because the first students achieved such remarkable results, the story soon spread that if you really wanted to learn a language well, you had to go to ‘the Nuns of Vught’. Although the nuns have not been teaching for some time now, their dedication, hospitality and interest in people are deeply rooted in the method of Regina Coeli.

The Retreat
Surrounded by an avocado plantation and a vine yard our historic farmhouse offers the ideal home away from home to immerse yourself in the Portuguese language. To facilitate you to come into a flow, we take care of everything during your stay. From healthy, Portuguese meals crafted by a private chef to sports and relaxation. In free hours you can explore the breathtaking Ria Formosa, where scenic walks and cycling trails offer moments of recharging amidst stunning views.
Your class will have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 participants.
Program
You are unique. That is why we design a personal training program especially for you.
We make your training as goal-orientated as possible. Your language trainers get to know you better during an intake interview so that they can familiarise themselves with your situation.
This retreat offers a unique and tailored mix of private lessons by native speakers, multimedia exercises and independent study hours. You work on and in the language, from early in the morning until late in the evening.
