Quinta do Pinheiro is located in the protected nature reserve of Parque Natural da Ria Formosa which offers a unique sanctuary for nature lovers. On one side the Atlantic sandy beaches, on the other the Ria,  with its small islands, marshlands, sandbanks and salt pans. 

A haven for birdwatchers, with a diversity of species including, white storks, little egrets, spoonbills, whimbrels, turnstones, plovers (our logo has one), flamingos, amongst many more who either live or stop by while migrating south.

Stretching from Faro to the Spanish border, this area is a treasure trove of natural wonders and the most important wetland on the South of Portugal.

Within cycling distance, you’ll discover inviting beaches where you can relax and explore. Along the lagoon, charming towns and villages like Olhão, Fuseta, Santa Luzia, Tavira, Fabrica, and Cacela Velha with its 17th century fort await, each offering its own unique charm and attractions. 

Just a short walk from Quinta do Pinheiro, you’ll find piers providing access to the tranquil waters of Ria Formosa. Here, you can try paddleboarding or kayaking, or simply go for a swim.
